Easton Update

Just wanted to jot down a few things about Easton at 18 months old:
-he is down to 1 nap a day now, usually 3 hours long
-Easton goes to sleep around 7:30 to 8:00 PM still, and sleeps til 7:00 or 7:30 (yay!)
-he loves to help do things, carry things for me, put things away, etc. Also, he can open the fridge door so he can "help" himself to food he thinks he needs, or his favorite milk!
-favorite new word is "there" ("Easton, where's ______?" he'll answer "there" while pointing)
-loves to run, climb, and jump (his jump is more like a step with exaggerated arm movement and stomping feet!) going along with that: he falls and/or bumps into things a lot!
-My FAVORITE thing he started doing recently is holding a toy truck, car, boat, etc. pushing it along the floor with one hand, crawling behind it "vroom"ing around the house! Such a boy thing to do!
-loves to play with Blake and follows her around all the time
-is a very loving boy, who gives sweet little kisses, big hugs, and cuddles!

Deja Vu

Easton was having a hard time falling asleep for his nap today. We had just been to a baby shower across the street from my parents' house for a childhood friend of mine, so we napped at Grandma's. I let him fuss for a little then went back in to check him. I found him in a similar position to big sister's several years ago! Ha ha! He laid himself over shortly after, so I didn't have to worry about him sleeping awkwardly or uncomfortably!
Blake is the top picture, at 11 months old and Easton is below at 17 months old.

18 Month Checkup

Easton won't be 18 months til the 15th, but already had his checkup. He is 32.5 inches long (60th percentile) and weighs 24 pounds (26th percentile). Little mister is long and lean, says the doctor. It's hard for me to consider 60% being tall, since I'm used to being in the 90s with Blake... But I guess he's taller than average right!?
Regardless, he's perfectly healthy and is even on track speech-wise. I have been wondering about that, but he's fine even if less talkative than most! He meets the word criteria for his age, and can certainly let you know what he wants or doesn't. He gets his point across! My little baby is turning into quite the little boy!

Picture Dump

We have just been enjoying our summer... Nothing special going on, just everyday life. I thought I'd just write a post and drop off some phone pictures.

Not sure these will be in the right order...

We picked up Geneva to join us at the park one morning. Easton wanted to climb up like the big girls, but couldn't so he was frustrated.

We got a chocolate lab puppy we named Molly. We love her and the kids LOVE her!

The other pictures are just sweet Easton after waking up from a nap on one of our extremely hot summer days!
