Both kids have about a 4 hour tolerance for road trips. I call it the 4-hour wall. They do good until they just can't take anymore of being cooped up, despite numerous stops along the way... Today we drove to Frisco to spend the first part of the week with Tim's parents. (We will go to the lake for the 4th through the weekend.) Easton hit his "wall" and fell asleep, covering himself in his blanket. I guess he had had enough! (don't worry, I took it off for him to get some air)

My Asian Daughter

This past weekend we flew to Houston for Gabriel's baptism. Tim and I were chosen as his godparents! Friday night, my parents and Travis picked us up from the airport and we met Katie and her crew at Blue Fish to eat. (We wanted to eat at the Aquarium, but the wait was too long) we were expecting seafood, but Blue Fish is a Japanese sushi restaurant. Long story short... They had chopsticks to eat with and gave the kids "fun chops" which help hold the sticks together and help you pinch. Blake has been using them ever since! These pictures are from Saturday after the baptism at Katie and Hector's. We had fajitas and the fixings and Blake ate each and every one of her beans by chopstick!

Hot Summer (almost) Nights

It's hot already, but it doesn't slow the kids down any...

More patio...

Just for documentation sake... Here is the patio after today's work! All trimmed and finished out. Now we just have to finish a tiny more trim at the bottom of the posts, caulk, and paint!

More Patio Progress

New posts are in, roof line shortened... And now all we lack is finishing trim pieces and paint! Wahoo!

We have been planning for a renovation/remodeling job in our house! We want an open patio instead of our glassed-in sun room, an addition to our master bed and bathroom, remove a wall in our kitchen, an island and new countertops. With my parents' help (thank you soooooo much!!) we started demo on the porch! Day 1 we took all the windows and paneling down, and day 2, all the shelves came out and some framing. Tomorrow the new posts should go in! I love it so much more already!

Family Golf Nights

We have been going to the golf course as a family to ride with Tim, playing a quick 9 holes. Easton loves chasing Tim's putts and putting balls in the hole. Blake proclaims herself the "pin girl" and likes to be in charge of pulling the pin and touching the flag. They both love riding in the golf cart (or as Blake calls it "the mule" like Poppa's).

Easton decided to climb in the cart from the back... Silly boy! And Blake is just being sweet Blake.
