Kisses, Teeth, and More

My sweet kiddos love giving out hugs and kisses. Blake thinks it's hysterical that Easton gives big, open mouth slobbers!

Little man is working on some major teeth. Two molars are through on the top (one of each side) and he has two gigantic bumps where the bottom two molars are working their way up. That's 10 teeth so far, soon to be 12!

Also, Easton finally signed this morning!!! Anytime we've tried to teach him before, he would just laugh at us, but this morning he signed "more" for his breakfast of pancakes! Yay! Blake was so proud of him saying "I taught him to sign, Momma!"

Favorites of Easton

Being outside: he will grunt and point out windows and doors begging to go outside, he starts screaming out when I take him inside

Golf club: he will walk all over the yard with this little golf club, swinging it, holding it, and again will scream if I try to put it up (I have to pry it loose) and he constantly tries to take Tim's clubs from his golf bag if he's around it

13+ Months

So I didn't write a post on Easton's 13 month bday, but I wanted to remember a few things.
-Easton is very sensitive and will immediately stick his bottom lip out and cry when corrected, usually at the first "no".
-he has a loud way of communicating. Easton will scream out "aaaaahhhh" if he needs help getting a toy out, or turning one on, or if he has something that Blake is trying to get too. We joke about Easton screaming like that to scare off his future opponents, when he grows up to play sports or whatever activity.
-He is a big snuggler and will wrap his arms around your neck really tight, and lay his head on your shoulder. He also loves my hair and will reach around my head to play with it when I hold him.
-Easton wakes up really hungry.
-points at things, opens his eyes really big and talks all the time. He is starting to babble about everything.
-loves to clap his hands and smiles so big like he's proud of himself
-is really bow-legged
-dances really cute by bouncing his knees (and heiney) up and down

There's a New Sheriff in Town

Oh my goodness... I almost overdosed on cuteness tonight when I put Easton in his Wo.ody from Toy Story jammies. He looked so adorable! and I was trying so hard to get a picture, but this little boy is so busy that a picture was hard to come by.
Overall, I have to say that little boy clothes aren't as cute as little girls' (or anywhere near as numerous... way more girl clothing out there!) but outfits like tonight totally make up for it! Eat your heart out!!!

Boo

What baby wouldn't be happy playing in/with a box?!? (Easton was happily distracted with a giant present box at Blake's birthday)

Happy 3rd Birthday, Blake!

Today I have a 3 year old! Crazy how fast time actually flies when it's your own kids getting older...

These are the rice krispie treats we made to bring to Blake's classmates at school on Friday.

The weather was beautiful today (in the 80s) so we played outside pretty much all day! Blake had a Mickey Mouse shaped pancake for breakfast, and played with her dolls for a little bit before we headed outside to play in her new sandbox (her other birthday present). After lunch and a nap, we ran a few errands before going to the duck pond, which is always a big hit for the kids. Easton was quite vocal this trip, calling out "duh duh" and pointing at all the ducks.

Here's some more party pictures...

Blake's 3rd Birthday Party

Blake got to open a few presents this morning from us. A bike, helmet, and basket and handlebar streamers! Look how big my 3 year old girl is.

Today was a yucky, cold day so we stayed inside most of the day spending time with Grammy, Grandpa, and Nino. Blake was so patient waiting for her party and only complained a little when she woke up from her nap (which she tried to talk me out of since "she was in a happy mood"). After her nap she kept saying "it is just so hard to wait." But wait she did!
Blake was so excited to finish eating because that meant it was present time!
Then came cake, but she didn't eat a piece until much much later because she wanted to go play with her new doll stuff!
Happy birthday to my sweet girl!
Blake had lots of fun playing with Geneva who came over to celebrate with us, and of course Easton had a ball just roaming around, playing, and getting lots of attention!

Frisco and Farm

This past weekend we traveled to Frisco for Tim's grandparents' wedding anniversary. They live in Pattonville (out by Paris) on a farm so we were excited for the kids to see it out there. We drove to Frisco Friday night, got up and headed to the farm Saturday morning.
Blake had a great time throwing rocks into one of the ponds, flying a kite, riding on the mule to feed the cows, and feeding a baby calf its last bottle!
Easton walked all around and had a great time digging in the dirt, and climbing on the mule and just being outside.
We enjoyed a yummy barbecue lunch that Tim's parents and Aunt brought, and had a wonderful cake to celebrate Big Daddy and Mammy's 60 years of marriage and Mammy's birthday.
Saturday night was low key, after driving back to Frisco, we stayed in for dinner and got to catch up with Kane and Sarah who stopped by. I discovered my tv soul mate in Sarah! and we were home again in Midland by Sunday afternoon... a quick trip, but we were so glad to be there to celebrate with Mammy and Big Daddy!

Wrestlemania

The other day Easton wrestled with his pillows. He would dive on them, roll them around, toss them... All the while yelling real loud. It was so funny and it kept him occupied for awhile. This kid cracks me up!
