Five!

Yesterday Easton turned five years old! We celebrated over the weekend with a night at Mr. Gatti's for pizza and games and then came home for cupcakes!

He asked for a toy mouse (that came with a little cage and play area) and a fish. We went on his birthday to pick out the fish and get the food after he opened his presents (the fish tank and mouse). Blake wants the same things for her birthday coming up, just different colors... Easy for us!

Easton is a very funny little boy who is always willing to go with the flow. (He does have a temper if it's brought out) He loves to help at work and recently got his own pocket knife! Easton is signed up for baseball this spring and loves puzzles, building things, playing outside, and doing anything that Blake does!
From one year old to five in the blink of an eye!

Bike Ride

I finally convinced Easton that he didn't have to wait as long as Blake to learn to ride his bike (without training wheels). She just learned this past fall. I just realized I might not have included pictures of that, so
Here's a picture of Papa helping her learn during one visit. Blake worked on it little by little, cautiously, until she finally got it!
Easton said he would try when he was five... But since his birthday was days away, I convinced him to go ahead and try. He got it!

Outstanding Citizen

Today was Muffins with Mom and Donuts with Dad for the second day of Catholic Schools Week. Then there were first semester awards given out. Blake's teacher had already checked to make sure we would be there, so we knew something was going to happen.
She received the Outstanding Citizenship Award. I'm so proud of my sweet first grader! (It was also Tacky Tuesday, which explains the silly hairdo and funny sock and shoe combo she wore!)
