Growing Up

It really struck me today as I was getting Blake ready for school... she is getting so big and growing up so fast! Where did my baby girl go? She doesn't look like a baby anymore!

The Trevino Infirmary

I have my nurse hat on today (and did over the weekend.) Tim is recovering from a difficult wisdom teeth removal. His teeth were really impacted and the doctor took almost 2 hours getting the suckers out. He said it ranked in his top 5 or 10 most difficult surgeries ever (and he's nearing retirement)... poor Tim got really swollen and is in lots of pain. Blake has had drainage and threw up early morning/late night last night. She's home from MDO and isn't 100%. Easton is good, but so busy! So I'll be taking care of all my babies!

Walking

Easton loves to walk! He has been toddling all over the place with a huge smile on his face. He's so proud and surprised by his new skill. I haven't been able to catch it on camera yet... but I can't believe my big boy!

Walking Progress

Today Easton walked from the middle of my parents' living room to me on the couch! I was excited and let (made) him practice it a few more times. His eyes get so big (like he's thinking "what am I doing???") while he's toddling along. Easton also showed off his new skill to daddy at home.
-11 months 1 day. Wow

11 Months

My little man is 11 months old today!
Easton is quite the character and growing up so fast. He babbles all the time, "da da" being his favorite, "ma ma" comes out only when he's sad and pouty!
Easton also sings along to songs, crawls so fast, empties out drawers or containers and then puts things back in, loves to splash in the bathtub, loves playing with his sister, loves throwing things down to see who will pick it up, and is trying to walk. He has taken a couple tiny steps a few times and is getting more and more sure on his feet.
I think Easton is going to be a little more social than his big sister, as he seems to be less cautious about trying new situations out... but we'll see.
Easton has 8 teeth, but it seems more are popping out all the time. He is a big eater and is loving real food. He nurses usually 2 times a day only. Tim always jokes that I must not feed the kids because of the quantities they consume, but they just like their food! Easton will laugh "huh huh hhhuuhh" when he gets a new bite of snack, like each time Blake handed him a Goldfish cracker today, or to answer when I ask if he wants more (with trying to teach sign language) - he just giggles, like to say of course I do! He is a lean little guy probably around 21 pounds or so, and at this point I'm still predicting him to turn out to be a lefty like his daddy.

While The Cat's Away

Easton loves playing on Blake's new Mickey Mouse chair... but she usually doesn't like him touching it. But she's at school today so he's all over it and loving it!

Blake-isms

When asked what she wanted to name a doll, she told Grandma "probably Hazel." (After my grandmother) and Hazel she is!

Blake asked Santa to bring her a Hello Kitty purse and a doll with a pacifier and different clothes than Hazel. (And he did) She wanted to name her new doll Blake, but we settled on Michelle to be less confusing. The doll has a little stuffed dog.... she named the dog Blake! Ha ha
