First Day of Preschool

Easton started preschool at our church today. He was worried about it and would cry telling me he would miss me...
But this morning, he did great! He walked right in and never cried. There are three little boys and one girl he knows from our mom's group in his class, too. That helped!

His teachers said he did awesome and had a great day! I'm so thankful!

Easton picked a Sonic slush as their after school treat. And he was so excited to tell Blake all about his day!

Blake is a Kindergartener!

Today Blake started kindergarten! She was very nervous and cried a few times days before about how she would miss me... My mama heart was worried and just wanted everything to go well!
So big!

She cried when it was time for us to leave (we all took her to school!) and I cried once I was in the car. The day flew by, surprisingly, and I was anxious to pick her up to hear about her day. We walk into the kindergarten common area to pick them up everyday, and I found my girl with a big smile on her face saying she had a "super fun day!" I'm so glad!
Easton was so happy to have her back with us, even though we had a good day together, too. Blake picked sno-cones for her after school treat and she's looking forward to go back again!
PS- she crashed by 7:00! School is tiring!

Loveys

I recently heard of the great idea of taking pictures of your children with their favorite comfort items before they outgrow them, or as we call them "loveys." Now that Blake and Easton are getting a little bigger, loveys are required to stay at home, except for trips. When I told the kids that I wanted to take their picture with their loveys, they were so excited!
This is Raffi. She has been Blake's favorite for about 3 years now. I suggested the name to her (Raffi the Giraffe... it was the best I could do) When Blake was littler, people would always get her name wrong after hearing her talk about her.... Ralphie, Roffi, all kinds of mispronunciations... but Raffi is definitely Blake's #1 lovey!
This is Kitty, sometimes known as Black Eyes... both names were thought of by Easton. He's also creative in his naming process! ha ha. He's been attached to Kitty for about a year now, and loves her!   Kitty is definitely his #1 lovey.

But this is Boomer. Easton specially requested another picture so Boomer the Bulldog could be in it, too. Boomer was a recent gift from a trip to Midland to see my parents. Right now he is a close second to Kitty, even if he doesn't have the crazy eyes she does! LOL

Fly Girl

Blake is currently playing on an indoor soccer league with all the girls from her outdoor team, plus about 4 more from other teams who wanted to play with them. They are the Fly Girls.
This sweet girl always gives it all she's got and always reports back about how much fun she's having... all I could ever ask for! She is definitely improving and says she wants to play in the World Cup one day!

Eastonisms

More funny/cute things he says...
"Purray, purray!!" (Hurray!) when he's excited about something
Burder (burger)
Still calls Blake "Bake" - I'm going to be sad when he can say it correctly

Frisco trip

At the end of June, we needed to go to Fort Worth to pick up some pipe, so we decided to make the weekend into a trip to see Tim's parents. We also got to spend time with more friends and family, too!

The kids were soooo good during the car ride, no fussing! Even when problems hauling a trailer-ful of pipe turned the trip into a 12 hour ride...
 Peek-a-boo!
We got to meet baby Thomas! What a sweetie - Blake hogged him the whole time and didn't want to put him down. She was so happy!
We went to Top Golf and even the kiddos played! It was a lot of fun! They both hit targets several times each.

And Miss Callie!! Such a sweet, beautiful baby -  I couldn't resist forcing taking some pictures of these kiddos: 1/2 products of Frisco!

Bubbles

I'm trying to soak up every little moment with the kids this summer before school starts up... and every once in a while I remember to grab my camera!

We swim, eat popsicles, go on bike rides, "chalk the sidewalk" as Blake calls it, blow bubbles and do any fun summery things we can think of.

Blake was full of concentration and Easton was full of silly! Both so precious!

(Sidenote: that is the neighbor's grass, not ours... we are between the houses.)
